Congratulations to the winners of our 38th Annual Congress – GLBC prize-winners are listed below (full results here). A huge thank you goes to our convenor, Sylvia Goodwin for her hard work in ensuring the smooth running of the event. And of course, the committee and others in the background who contributed are included in our gratitude.

There are currently 41 pairs and 25 teams registered to play this weekend in our congress. Entries close Monday 9 September, but late entries may still be accepted. Well done to the winners of our recent Winter Pairs event, Alison McGregor & Ray Peirce (pictured), who snatched victory with 180 matchpoints from 2nd place-getters , Les Marks & Norma Bousfield (on 179 matchpoints). In 3rd place were Sally Stockwell and Lorrie Snodgrass (on 176 matchpoints). In the Consolation section, congratulations to N/S winners Tom Siminski & Teresa Siminska, and E/W winners Judy Scott & Pam Lawrence.

After a gruelling 2-week battle, congratulations go to the winners of our 2019 Swiss teams event (with 4 wins, 1 draw & 1 loss): Don & Judy Scown, and Wayne & Fran Carroll (pictured). With 5 wins, 1 draw and no losses, special mention goes to 2nd place-getters: Les Marks, Norma Bousfield, Lorraine Adams & Barbara Williams. Well done again to all who competed!
