Excellent opportunity to improve your bridge in 2019

Would like to improve your game beyond the basics and acquire some extra skills? If the answer is 'yes!' and you've been playing bridge for a year or more, come along to a series of lessons in our clubhouse on Tuesday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm for four weeks starting on 15 January 2019 (i.e. 15/1/2019, 22/1/2019, 29/1/2019 and 5/2/2019). Those interested can add their name to a list on the notice board at the club.

October 2018 Swiss Teams Champions

Well done to the winners of this event: Judy Scown, Wayne & Fran Carroll and Don Scown (pictured). With 5 wins and 1 loss, their win was well earned. Honourable mention also goes to 2nd place-getters, Megan Grant, Margaret Boniface, Gail Salmon and Daphne Yarnold who also had 5 wins and a loss over the 2-week teams championship. Thanks again to all our hard-working organisers and our pleasant participants.

 

 

New Event from ABF

The ABF have announced a New Event for players under 300 Master Points (as at 31 August 2018). It will be played on Wednesday 31 October. It is called the Aust-Wide Restricted Pairs. Read More to see the details.

Upcoming 37th Annual Great Lakes BC congress - 15 & 16 September 2018

At the time of publication, 50 pairs are registered for Saturday 15 September 2018 and 28 teams for Sunday 16 September 2018 - and entries are still open. Cost for each event is $40 per player, payable on the day, and a light lunch will be provided on both days.

Taree wins the Bruce Hunter trophy

Once a year, our club competes with Taree Bridge Club for the coveted Bruce Hunter trophy. This year, congratulations go to Taree who won with a convincing 26 matches to our 20. Many members from both clubs commented positively on the friendly rivalry.
