2018 Christmas Party a huge success

The party started with dozens of awards and prizes for many of our members - check out the 'Hall of Fame' tab under 'About Us' above. Comedic entertainment from some of our most talented members followed: some (dodgy but very funny) jokes; a stirring GLBC rendition of  'My Favourite Things' with very apt visuals; trivia and riddles; and lucky door prizes. Newly nonagenarian and long-time (and still!) active GLBC members, Helen and Beryl celebrated their birthdays with our members and kind words from our President Ken Bridges this week. Australia-Wide Restricted Pairs 2018

On 31 October 2018, following our favourable response to the Australia-Wide Novice Pairs, a similar event was conducted for Restricted-level pairs (each player with fewer than 300 masterpoints). Well done to all, and especially to (pictured): E/W winners Tom Siminski and Sharon Bull; tournament director Sylvia Goodwin; and N/S winners Megan Grant and Margaret Boniface. Regional finals – first place for GLBC

Over the weekend of 27 to 28 October 2018, GLBC fielded 3 teams in the Mid Coast region’s Grand National Open Teams (GNOT) finals, with one team placing a strong first in a very competitive field: Henry Hudson, Bronwyn Boehm, Jill and Karl Buchmann.
