2025 Australia-wide Novice Pairs

On Thursday 29 May 2025, GLBC took part in the annual Australia-Wide Novice Pairs Competition — a national bridge event run by Australian Bridge Magazine for novice bridge players (holding fewer than 100 masterpoints).

A healthy 11 tables of competitors enjoyed the challenge with certificates going to the top two places each way: 
 - N/S 1st - Gary & Denise Marr and 2nd - Peter Nicholson & Jennie O'Neill; and 
 - E/W 1st - Sheila Perrottet & Valda Bowd; and 2nd - Christine Giles & Ian Stewart

Participants received a booklet providing commentary and advice on each deal.
