NSW Country Teams event 2022 - Zone Final success for Great Lakes

Grant & Erby teams Coffs Arkinstall zone final

After a gruelling weekend of bridge in Coffs Harbour, congratulations go to our two GLBC teams who did us proud. Special mention goes to the Erby team: Pauline Erby, Gil Clarke, Henry Hudson and Bronwyn Boehm who, after a qualifying round that went into the evening, placed 2nd in the final playoff the next day. They have now qualified to play in the final event in December (see below).

Thanks go to the GLBC committee who provided funding for our teams to assist in covering petrol, accommodation, etc costs. And to our tournament director Sylvia Goodwin for her ongoing behind-the-scenes organisational efforts, at times from her sick bed!

The  Country Teams event is part of the John Arkinstall State Teams competition. 10 teams from the NSWBA, the Sydney Metropolitan zone, the Outer Metropolitan, Northern, Southern and Western zones will qualify to play in the John Arkinstall State Teams Finals at the NSWBA on 9-11 December, 2022. On Sunday 11 December 2022 the top two teams play in the State Teams Final and the top two Country Teams play in the Country Teams Final.
