Entries to GLBC events are now a whole lot easier

Have you noticed the extra tab on our GLBC website? Right after the ‘Results’ tab above, you’ll find the new ‘Entry’ tab. As an alternative (but not a replacement) to written entries in the folders at the back of the clubhouse, members can now choose to enter online. This facility is particularly important for teams, Swiss pairs and 2-week events where registration is essential for preparation.  You can do this at 10pm on Sunday...not wait until the next day then forget!

• And to make things even easier, if you click on an event listed on the ‘Upcoming Events’ to the right of the screen, you’ll now be taken to an information page about the event — for the ‘registration essential’ events, there is also a button here to register online.
   
• You can see a list of who has entered in the event.

But wait, there’s more…. You can now use this facility if you require a partner for an event. For example, if you have a pair for a team and require two more players, enter your names and put xx in the other two player names.  If 2 other players see the opportunity they can register xx before all names and re-enter the 4 names for the team.  See the example in Country Teams Day1 registration.

Of course, current procedures for entries and finding partners still apply. But why not have a go via our own website? We understand if you make a mistake & it’s easier than you think!
