Clubhouse repairs to commence Monday 14 January 2019

As many of our members are aware, our clubhouse is in need of some repair work and, with apologies for the inconvenience to our members, we advise that the work will be conducted from Monday 14 January to Saturday 26 January 2019. Unfortunately there will be no GLBC bridge games held during this period. Alternate premises were sought but - considering the repair bill - a cost-effective solution was unavailable.

So, scheduled bridge games will conclude on Saturday 12 January and resume on Monday 28 January 2019. see more below

• Helpers are invited to the clubhouse from 9am (for at most 2 hours) on Sunday 13 January to prepare the premises for the builders. And again on Sunday 27 January to reorganise the room. 

Three programmed competitions that are affected by this interruption are re-scheduled as follows:

• Wed 16 January 2019  - Anniversary Pairs Day 2 will be held on Wed 27 February 2019
• Wed 23 January 2019 - Australia Day Pairs (R) will be held on Wed 30 January 2019
• Mon 21 January 2019 - Restricted Teams Day 1 will be held on Mon 28 January and Day 2 will move from this day to Mon 18 February 2019.

We are very happy to assist if you wish to enjoy some social bridge with your friends during this period - like the good old days! If you want to borrow a set of boards for a social game, please see Sylvia or Ken.
