Novice Pairs - Top Pair in our Club after Handicap

Congratulations to Gillian Courtice and Phil Hackett.

Gillian went to the Beginners Lessons this year to review her skills after a spell away from the game and is showing her talent in recent Thursday results......well done!

Phil attended the Learn to Play Classes in 2017. He also holds a greater skill in the game than his 1.4 Mpts at the time of the Novice Pairs Game would suggest.

Results on the day within the club were1st NS: Sylvia and Bill Goodwin and 1st EW: Faye Birtwistle and Carol Gait. These results are calculated using our in-house scoring program (Compscore2), so one would expect the more experienced players to win the day at the club. The Novice Pairs Event Organisers then run an algorithm to handicap according to total Masterpoints held by each pair.
